Community Awareness, Advocacy & Social Mobilisation

IWHDA brings communities together to discuss and act on issues affecting women, girls, children and vulnerable households. We use community dialogues, awareness meetings, stakeholder forums and participatory discussions to address gender equality, health, GBV, child protection, family wellbeing, stigma and access to services. Rather than simply delivering messages, facilitators encourage community members to reflect on challenges within their own families and communities and identify practical solutions. We also connect community voices with local leaders, health workers, volunteers and other stakeholders to strengthen community ownership and advocacy for better support and services.
