GBV Prevention & Response

IWHDA works with communities to prevent GBV, challenge harmful gender norms and strengthen safe and dignified responses for survivors. Our interventions promote awareness of GBV prevention, safe reporting, confidentiality, survivor dignity and available support services, while strengthening community protection actors to identify concerns, handle disclosures appropriately and make safe referrals. We also engage community leaders, men, boys and other community stakeholders in conversations that promote gender equality, respectful relationships and safer families and communities. IWHDA’s experience includes community dialogues, protection-focused awareness and referral support connecting survivors to health, psychosocial, legal and protection services.
