Referral & Linkage to Services

IWHDA helps women, girls and other community members move from information and identification of a need to actual access to appropriate support and services. Referral and linkage are integrated across our health, GBV, HIV and protection programmes, connecting people with health facilities and, where appropriate, psychosocial, legal and protection services. We work with community structures and service providers to make referral pathways clearer, safer and more responsive, while recognising that a referral alone is often not enough. Follow-up, coordination, guidance and respectful communication are important parts of helping people successfully reach the services they need.
