Economic Empowerment & Livelihoods
IWHDA supports women and vulnerable households to strengthen their livelihood opportunities, savings, food security and economic resilience. Our work connects economic empowerment with women’s broader ability to make decisions, support their families and participate in community life. Interventions include practical livelihood activities, savings and financial skills, group-based support and opportunities for women to strengthen their productive capacity. We also recognise the connection between economic wellbeing and health: when women have stronger livelihood and savings options, they are better positioned to seek health services and participate in community programmes.
